I have been wondering about this for a while. Whenever I am visiting a site and click on a link, I always right-click the link so that it opens in a new tab. I don't like losing my place. I love the sites that have it set automatically this way for me. Where I just click the link and it automatically opens in a new tab. I knew there was a way to get links on my blog to do this. I thought it was going to be a long process with a lot of HTML editing. Once again, Blogger has come out with an easy way to do it. It was actually quite obvious, I just never noticed (or maybe it's new and that's why I noticed it now...that's what I like to think anyway). Remember that you can click on the following images to enlarge them if you need to. So here we go...
1. Highlight the word that you want to contain the link and then click 'Link'.
*If you don't know where the 'Link' button is, you probably should not be attempting this.
2. When the box pops up for you to enter the URL to link back to, you will notice two options at the bottom. The first one says, 'Open this link in a new window'.
3. Check the box next to it, then click 'OK'. You are done. Now when visitors click on the link, it will automatically open in a new tab. Just make sure to save your post after making these changes.
