We've known this for a while now, actually. Things have just been so crazy over here. I am also 21 weeks so that means I am over the halfway mark, yes! So very excited. I am in the process of writing about what's been going on in the pregnancy (if you remember from the announcement post, I had said that I had some complications early on). We just take one day at a time and so far things are looking good. Only thing is that I have not gained a single pound so far. I've actually lost 8 pounds during the pregnancy but the doctor is not concerned at this time. As long as baby looks healthy and all tests come back normal. And he's doing good. According to the doctor, nurses and every single ultrasound tech, he's one of the most active they have ever seen. I have been told to prepare myself. I've had to go in multiple times just for the anomaly scan because he won't stop jumping and moving around and they have been having a hard time getting all of the measurements they need. I think they got everything this last time, though. It took the poor ultrasound tech a very long time just to be able to get this picture (and I appreciate her patience very much)! We are very excited. My sister, my brother and myself have each had a girl so this will be my parents' first born-into-the-family grandson (Little J is their step-grandson, though they don't get to see him very often). Jon and I were both hoping for a boy, however Punkin was initially disappointed. For the last 2 years she has been asking for and desperately wanting a sister. Santa has a lot of explaining to do this year, ha! But now she is just so excited that we are having a baby in the family and she is constantly talking about wanting to help me take care of him. She does such a good job with her cousins and is so nurturing and independent, so I know she is going to do excellent when the baby gets here.
Speaking of Punkin, I know that I have not done an update since I had my little hiatus. That will be coming soon. She is really amazing. Only 4 years old but you would never think she was so young. In fact, most people don't believe us when we tell them that she is only 4. Never mind the fact that she is as tall as a 6 year-old (according to the doctor) but she is already reading, writing and playing the piano. I am so proud of her. My first baby always...
